If you ask me, it sounds better than it looks! My dilema is this. I start
grad school in Jan. Were I to continue with an, albeit low, but regular
income where I could keep going with my $100 a month allowance, I'd
build two more. One with koa and one madagascar rosewood.

But alas, I promised myself I'd LEARN from my dumb-spending mistakes

I just recieved my Koa set from them, and it's beautiful. They packaged the wood so it's protected very well. Volcano's pics are just what you get. I love this wood so much I'm going to order another set. Alan at Volcano is very informative on the phone too. He'll answer all your questions.

I have two sets of koa, and I love the sound of koa instruments - but they will have to wait as I am far too afraid of ruining a set of it to try it on my first instrument! Congrats on those sets!
